MELBOURNE 2016: THINGS TO DO

So what can you do in Melbourne? There's a whole lot to do just within the CBD. Trams are now free! Which is great for a cheapo like me who would rather walk half an hour down a straight street than pay for public transport.

On my first morning in Melbourne, I headed down to Docklands by way of the free trams for the gym. But first, I was confused by how to get on the trams since they stop right in the middle of the streets. So the struggle was real: wanted to get on the trams but also didn't want to get run over by cars lol. Finally I saw someone walk to the middle and stand there so I figured she's also waiting for the trams and joined her as I prayed for my street survival.

The tram stop I used was the one outside the city library intersection. I didn't go into the library this time but during my first visit to Melbourne, my friend took me here and it was pretty cool! I would definitely recommend dropping by here to have a look inside.

The Etihad Stadium where I suddenly felt the crew spirit lol I was on my w

Well, I am assuming this is some bank building due to the nab logo?

I'm sorry, I actually have no idea what this is but I felt the need to photograph this while I waited for the lights to turn green for me to cross the road to catch that tram heading to

Finally arrived at Harbour Town and walked around for a bit. I was told that this is the place to go if you're scouting for sales. I didn't really find much that I wanted and the sales weren't that amazing. I did buy a few items before leaving but only because they were sold in bulk and so were cheaper.

I spent my last day walking around the city and shopping. I live really close by to this building: Hardrock Climbing. Every time I pass by, I always take a look. It's walls are glass and so you can see in from the streets and watch people do indoor wall climbing. It looks pretty cool and I would like to come here one day and actually do some rock climbing.

You can get a day pass to the gym and can use it as long as you want for the day - even leave and go back in! I think I'm gonna go try it out the next time I'm in Melbourne =D

A tram passing by my view... so I turned around and looked for something else to take a photo of.

Melbourne has lots of cool buildings.

RMIT.

Popped down by Queen Victoria Market just to walk through. I bought some oysters which weren't very big or extremely fresh and was only okay.

When I wasn't eating or walking around exploring the streets, I spent my time shopping! Since I live so close, my favourite place to visit is Melbourne Central. But I also like to go to Myer, David Jones and also The Emporium.

I absolutely love this shot of Melbourne Central.

There's this cute little shop on level 2 of Melbourne Central called Morning Flowers. It's a little flower shop that sells the cutest terrariums!  This little creation caught my eye as I walked past the shop and I instantly fell in love with it. Unfortunately I couldn't buy it because I wouldn't have been able to bring it back with me through customs =( but I showed this picture to my mother and it inspired her to start her own creations haha.

I wish I could pull off this outfit.

I wanted to try a drink from here but I was too full. =_=

A few years ago, I bought glasses from CAL eyewear and I stopped by again this year to see what else they had. I don't really wear glasses anymore as I prefer to wear contacts, I am on the look out for a new pair of sunnies. I ended up not buying any though.

I didn't end up doing much in Melbourne except for shop and window shop and eat. But that's the usual thing people do. So I'm going to end this post with a night shot of the view of the city.

My final post will be a haul post and you can see it here.
